Ron

Ron

Ron has been a fan of Thera Vet Acres and, friend to the Brownes, since before the first coat of paint went on the clinic, before the first fence post was driven into the ground, before the ink was dry on the deed to the property. He is a graduate of Pittsford Mendon HS and earned his (bachelor) degree from SUNY at Buffalo. Like all our CCPs, Ron genuinely appreciates the time he spends with every animal visiting Thera Vet as well as those living on Four Paws Farm. Away from TVA Ron has been pet-sitting for family and friends seemingly forever and, on occasion, helps transport dogs on behalf of regional rescue groups. He loves spending time with his family, including two very young nieces, Ziva and Chloe. Ron has been playing in one or both of the two men's adult hardball leagues in Monroe County since 1999. In the Fall of 2010 Ron was faced with an opportunity he could not pass up - a chance and a challenge to foster a ten-month old, deaf border collie who had loads of potential but also, potentially disastrous behavioral issues. "It was three of the most rewarding weeks of my life," Ron says.

TheraVet Acres

TheraVet Acres is located on 50 beautiful acres in Penfield, NY. It is also known as 4PawsFarm and is the home of Dr Browne, her husband Dana, daughter McKenzie, and their numerous animals. This setting allows us to provide you and your pet with the love and attention you both deserve.
Our vision when creating TheraVet Acres was to provide a place where people and their pets could come to find compassionate care and a sense of belonging in a home-away from home environment. When you arrive at TheraVet Acres you will be greeted by our wonderful staff. That sense is enhanced by the quality of the care that we provide to our patients; we treat your pet as one of our own.

The future for TheraVet is very exciting. We have recently purchased the property to the west of the clinic and are developing plans for building our new facility. This facility will be a totally green "Net Zero" building, built with the environment in mind. At a minimum, it will utilize solar, wind, geothermal and water reclamation technologies. It will allow for more boarding suites, a pool and an indoor therapy and training arena, and more space to accommodate a second doctor and more therapy staff and equipment. This expansion will allow us to help more pets which is something that TheraVet strives to do on a daily basis.
